NKU women's soccer has taken the NSCAA Team Academic Award in seven of the last nine years.

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team was awarded the NSCAA/adidas Team Academic Award, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced on Monday.
The honor is bestowed upon collegiate soccer teams that attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher over the 2008-09 academic year. In total, 327 women's programs were honored across NCAA Divisions I, II and III and the NAIA.
It marks the seventh year, and fourth consecutive year, the Norse have been so honored.
NKU finished the 2009 season with a 19-2-1 record, winning an unprecedented seventh Great Lakes Valley Conference championship and advancing to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
