NKU attempts to clinch its 17th consecutive 20-win season this Friday night.
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University volleyball team travels west this weekend for Great Lakes Valley Conference matches at Missouri S&T (Friday) and Missouri-St. Louis (Saturday).
NKU is 19-10 overall, 9-3 in the GLVC. The Norse can clinch the No. 3 seed in the upcoming GLVC Tournament by defeating Missouri-St. Louis (19-10 overall, 9-3 GLVC) on Saturday. Those two teams are tied for third place going into the weekend, and the winner of Saturday's match will earn the No. 3 seed for the GLVC Tournament.
Lewis (26-3, 12-0 GLVC) and Indianapolis (31-1, 12-1 GLVC) will be the top two seeds in the GLVC Tournament, which begins Nov. 13 at the No. 1 seed. The top eight teams qualify for that event, with the winner earning the GLVC's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
20-WIN STREAK: NKU needs one victory to extend its streak of consecutive 20-win seasons to 17. The Norse can clinch their 20th win Friday night when they meet Missouri S&T (10-25 overall, 5-7 GLVC).
