NKU men's tennis falls short to NJIT in season-opener on Friday

DAYTON, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team opened its 2010 season with a 7-0 setback at the hands of the New Jersey Institute of Technology on Friday afternoon.

NKU's only victory on the day over the Division I NJIT squad came in the No.2 doubles flight as Will Knoll and Tyler Fraser took a 7-5 tiebreaker decision from Fraser Croad and Dimitri Athans.

With the loss, NKU falls to 0-1 on the season. NKU wraps up play in the Dayton Invitational today against Belmont and host Dayton.
