HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University women's soccer coach Bob Sheehan has signed five players to join the defending Great Lakes Valley Conference champions during the 2010 season.

Claudia Bryant, Megan Frye, Taylor Jennings, Olivia Lenzer and Kara Yeaste will be among the NKU freshman class next season.

Jennings, a 2010 graduate of Reynoldsburg (Ohio) High School, was a huge part of the Raider offense over the past two years, scoring 31 goals and adding 27 assists in 36 games. Jennings, who was also an accomplished member of the Raider track team, was twice named to the All-Ohio Capital Conference first team and in her junior year was named the OCC's Ohio Division Co-Player of the Year while leading the Raiders to a district semifinal appearance. Jennings was coached in soccer by Jonathan Ulry.

Lenzer, a 2010 graduate of Seton High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, scored 17 goals in 32 games over the last two seasons with the Saints. Lenzer earned first-team All-Girls Greater Catholic League recognition as well as a honorable mention on the All-Southwest Ohio team. Lenzer was coached by Mollie Harloff.

Yeaste, a 2010 graduate of Anderson County High School in Lawrenceburg, Ky., holds the Bearcats' all-time record with 45 assists to go with 60 goals over her four-year prep career. Yeaste helped the Bearcats to 25th District championship in each of the last two seasons, earning All-13th Region first team honors and second-team All-State recognition in the process.
