HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - After dropping all three doubles sets, the Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team came back to dominate singles competition and pick up a 5-4 victory over Indianapolis in Saturday's Great Lakes Valley Conference opener.

Lee Lonergan sealed the victory for the Norse in his No. 5 match against Steffen Good.  Trailing 4-1 in the third set, Lonergan rallied back, surviving a pair of match points in the process, to take a 9-7 tiebreak victory and give the Norse the win.

Guillaume Berman ran his singles winning streak to seven matches with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Matt Smith in the No. 2 flight.

Lance Koetter, Tyler Fraser and Jimmy Caccamo also posted singles victories for NKU, which improved to 4-4 on the season and 1-0 in GLVC East play.

The Norse will look to continue their winning ways on Friday, playing host to Southern Indiana.  First serve is set for 2 p.m.
