HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team got solid performances from the top and bottom of the lineup in a 6-3 victory over Indianapolis to open Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
Stephanie Isaacs won her sixth straight doubles match, today teaming with
Jillian Sturgeon for an 8-3 victory over Meghan Teunis and Rachel Barger in the No. 2 flight.

Maggie Koetter teamed for the first time this season and earned a 9-7 win over Kelsey Hartman and Ceciley Starkey in the No. 3 flight.
In singles play,
Kristen Sunday cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Lee Matthews in the top flight while
Whitney Thomas picked up a 6-3, 6-3 decision over Alex Covington in the No. 4 flight.
Isaacs and Sturgeon also posted singles victories for the Norse.
With the win, NKU improved to 4-4 overall and 1-0 in GLVC East play.
NKU returns to action on April 2 at home against Southern Indiana. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
