The 19th-ranked Norse banged out 19 hits en route to the easy non-conference victory. NKU improved to 20-7 overall, while Urbana fell to 11-11.

Jason Cisper went 4-for-4, scored four times and drove in three runs for NKU. Evan McDole added five RBI, including a two-run homer, as the Norse rolled to the win.

Cisper raised his batting average to .505, and the senior outfielder has collected 52 hits this season. He has also scored a team-leading 35 runs.

McDole launched his third home run of the season in the fourth inning, a two-run shot to right-center field. The senior first baseman from Bishop Brossart High School now has 25 career homers and is tied with his father, Kevin, for fourth place in school history.

Already holding an 8-2 lead in the fifth inning, NKU erupted for nine runs to take a commanding 17-2 advantage. Bradley Vanderglas singled in two runs, and teammate Jake Morris later added a two-run double in the inning. Morris scored three runs in the victory, while Vanderglas finished with three RBI.

Josh Blaum started on the mound for NKU and went four innings to pick up the win. Blaum struck out six batters and allowed just two hits and one run.

NKU hits the road for a four-game series at Lewis this weekend, beginning with a Friday doubleheader. The two teams complete the series Saturday with another doubleheader.
