NKU men's golf team ties for ninth place at the spring Great Lakes Regional meet

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Northern Kentucky University men's golfer Danny Lewis posted a 17th-place finish at the Great Lakes Regional on Monday with a two-day score of 148 at the par-72 Purgatory Golf Course.

Lewis shot rounds of 72-76 to tie for 17th place individually. NKU finished with a team score of 606 (292-314) to tie Northwood for ninth place.

Wayne State (Mich.) won the team competition with a two-day score of 580, and Ferris State took runner-up honors with a final score of 592.

NKU's Jeremy Martin finished with a two-day score of 150 (72-78) to tie for 28th place, while teammate Steve Rickels totaled 154 (74-80) to tie for 47th place.

Joe McGeean took the medal by shooting rounds of 68-72 for a 140 total, two stokes better than Wisconsin-Parkside's Andrew Troyanek (70-72 142).
