HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University athletics department will hold its Acceleration Camp over a two-week period at the NKU Soccer Stadium on campus. The six-day camp will open on July 26, 28 and 30 and will resume Aug. 2, 4 and 6.
The Acceleration Camp is designed for athletes aged 8-18 looking to improve their speed and agility. The program will consist of circuit training sessions with focus on lateral speed, straight-ahead speed, footwork agility, change-in-direction agility and explosive speed training. Campers will train with their age group in each session.
The camp costs $100 per athlete. Athletes who have attended an NKU sports camp in 2010 receive a $25 discount, making a $75 final cost for the camp.
Campers should arrive at 9 a.m. with gym or running shoes and workout attire (no jeans).
