The NKU women's golf team finished fifth at the Triton Invitational.
Results
MADISON, Ill. - Brook Vanskalk carded a 36-hole score of 154 (77-77) to lead the Northern Kentucky University women's golf team to a share of fifth place at the Triton Invitational, played at Gateway National Golf Course.
Vanskalk finished 15th individually with the 10-over-par performance. She was followed by
Taylor Wogenstahl (79-76—155) in 16th place,
Elizabeth Fernandes (79-78—157) in 19th place and
Rachel Brown (85-76—161) in 30th to round out the team scoring.
Other NKU performers included Elizabeth Nebraski (87-80—167) in 48th place and
Katie-Scarlett Skinner (83-85—168) in 52nd place.
As a team, the Norse carded a two-round score of 627 (320-307) to share fifth place with Maryville (311-316—627). Host Missouri-St. Louis (297-296—593) took the team event by nine strokes over runner up William Woods (304-298—602).
Mayville's Kayla Eckelkamp (69-73—142) took the medal at 2-under-par.
The NKU women will wrap up their fall schedule on Oct. 22-23 at the Laker Fall Classic, hosted by Grand Valley State at The Meadows in Allendale, Mich.
