CINCINNATI – The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 6-3 decision to Union (Ky.) on Friday night.

Guillaume Berman, Andre Correa and Tyler Frasier each took singles victories to keep the Norse close in singles play.

Pierce Kohls had a hard fought match at No. 4 singles against Union's Bartos Micher, dropping a 7-3 tiebreak in the first set before winning a 7-5 tiebreak to level the match. Micher took the match, however, with a 6-3 win in Set 3 in a match that took nearly four hours.

Union went on to sweep doubles play and take the match.

NKU falls to 1-2 on the season, while Union improves to 3-3.

The Norse return to action next Friday, hosting Centre at Beechmont Racquet Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.
