ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – A four-run fourth inning wasn't enough for the Northern Kentucky University baseball team to claim victory over Ouachita Baptist on Sunday as the Norse fell to the Tigers by a 6-4 score in the series finale.

The loss drops the Norse to 4-2 on the season and snaps a three-game winning streak.

Brad Clement's two-run single in the fourth inning got the scoring started for the Norse. Clement, who went 2-for-4 on the day, has paced the Norse offense, leading the team with 12 hits and 11 RBIs.

Brandon Wood added a sacrifice fly and Patrick Hyde chipped in an RBI-single to account for NKU's scoring in the fourth.

Ouachita Baptist responded with one run in the bottom of the fourth and three more in the fifth inning to tie the game. The Tigers (5-8) took the lead in the sixth inning on a Kyle Zimmerman infield single to plate Justin Hall.

OBU got an insurance run in the seventh inning on an RBI-single by Brett Mazmanian.

Blake Bagshaw threw four innings in the start, striking out two batters and walking six, but did not factor into the decision. The loss fell to reliever Tim Clark (0-1), who pitched 1 1/3 innings without allowing a hit, but walked two batters.

Tigers reliever Kolby Moore (2-3) got the win, throwing five innings of three-hit, shutout baseball while picking up five strikeouts.

Brian Erie extended his hitting streak to a team-best five games, going 1-for-2 on the day. Randy Weinel went 2-for-2 with a run scored.

NKU returns to The Natural State next weekend for a three-game series at Southern Arkansas. The 2011 home opener comes March 12 against Ohio Dominican.
