NKU women's golf finishes sixth at Lewis Aviator Classic

LOCKPORT, Ill. - The Northern Kentucky University women's golf team finished the 2010-11 regular season with a sixth-place finish at the Lewis Aviator Classic, played at Prairie Bluff Golf Course.

The Norse carded a 397 in the 18-hole, weather-shortened tournament.  Missouri-St. Louis took the team victory in the all-Great Lakes Valley Conference field.  UMSL's Daniela Viotti claimed the medal, shooting an eight-over-par 80 on the course.

Drury (393), Lewis (359), Southern Indiana (366), Quincy (376) and NKU rounded out the team field.

Rachel Brown led the Norse with an 18-hole total of 94 to finish 22nd overall.  Heather McKee (96), Elizabeth Nebraski (99) and Danielle Lickert (108) rounded out the team scoring for the Norse.

NKU moves on to postseason play, beginning with the GLVC Championships this coming weekend at Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, Ill.
