INDIANAPOLIS –
Brett Cisper was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles as the Northern Kentucky University baseball team posted a 9-3 victory against Indianapolis in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
Zac Asman went 2-for-4 and drove in two runs for NKU, which is 20-17 overall, 10-12 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Norse rallied from an early 3-0 deficit by scoring twice in the fourth inning and adding three runs in the fifth to take a 5-3 lead.
Brad Clement's two-run homer snapped a 3-all tie in the fifth and gave NKU the lead. With
Bradley Vanderglas on second base, Clement launched a 3-1 pitch over the fence in left-center field for his fourth home run of the season. The Norse sealed the win by plating four runs in the seventh.
Andy Heston turned in his second straight complete game performance by going seven innings and scattering six hits. Heston struck out four and walked three to improve to 7-0 this season.
Indianapolis won the opener with a 2-1 decision over NKU. Starting pitcher Donovan Drake allowed just six hits and struck out nine batters to lead Indianapolis.

Bryan Rose hit a two-out double.
Shannon McCormick followed with a run-scoring single to cut the Indianapolis lead to 2-1, but Drake struck out Patrick Hyde to end the game.
NKU starter
Dave Middendorf went eight innings and scattered seven hits. He also finished with five strikeouts. Indianapolis is 24-14 overall, 13-13 in the GLVC.
The teams will conclude the series with a doubleheader at 11 a.m. Sunday.
