The NKU men's tennis team is 15-4 going into the NCAA Tournament.
INDIANAPOLIS – The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team has earned a berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament, and the Norse will meet Northwood (Mich.) in the first round of the Midwest Regional on May 1 at 11 a.m. in Kansas City, Mo.
NKU and Northwood both own 15-4 overall records entering the NCAA Tournament. The Norse captured the Great Lakes Valley Conference East Division title and advanced to the semifinals of the GLVC Tournament last week.
Northwood won both the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles. NKU is the No. 5 seed, while Northwood is the No. 4 seed.
The NKU/Northwood winner will meet top-seeded Rockhurst (20-3) in the second round. Rockhurst won the GLVC Tournament championship last week. The Hawks knocked off NKU in the semifinals of that event in Cincinnati, Ohio.
