LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team will have to wait until morning to determine its fate in the NCAA Tournament, as inclement weather suspended play in the Round of 16 against Abilene Christian.

The match will resume Thursday morning at 8 a.m., with ACU leading the match after doubles play, 3-0.  The winner will move on to face Lynn, which defeated Western New Mexico, 5-0.

The Wildcats opened the scorebook when the doubles team of Hans Hach and Nick Plum, ranked No. 5 in the nation, scored an 8-4 win over Pierce Kohls and Tyler Fraser.

The other two doubles matches each came down to a single break, with Borja Cortes and Alfredo Desiati defeating Andre Correa and Martin Leroy, 9-7, while Guilherme Gesser and Michael Morris bested Guillaume Berman and Drew Schroeder, 8-6.

Despite the early setback, NKU currently leads in four of the six singles matches.  Fraser, Kohls and Christopher Angulo each picked up Set 1 victories while Berman currently leads Cortes in the third set, 2-1.

Correa, who entered the day with a 20-1 singles record and enjoying a 15-match winning streak, dropped his first set to Desiati, 6-4, and currently trails in Set 2, 3-2.
