Men's tennis shuts out Western Kentucky

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University's men tennis succeeded in getting its first win of the spring, a 7-0 victory over Western Kentucky.

Jody Maginley, Balint Zsidai, Pierce Kohls and Guillaume Berman closed out the victory with two-set wins in singles. Andre Correa defeated J.T. Closi in a comeback win, 3-6, 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, Berman and Correa clinched a win against WKU's Alex Taranda and Andrew Fish, 8-4. Kohls and Maginley showed an 8-3 victory over Closi and John Bauerle. Cameron Johnson and Jimmy Caccamo closed their doubles match with a 8-6 win over Lance Freeman and Connor Shea.

Northern Kentucky (2-4) will face Wright State in Dayton on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
