MAINEVILLE, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky University women's golf team finished seventh at the UC Bearcats Fall Classic at TPC River's Bend in Maineville, Ohio, Tuesday afternoon.
MacKenzie Laumann carded the low round of the day for the Norse, posting an 81 to earn a share of 34
th at 29-over.
Sarah Kellam was one stroke behind with a final-round 82. She finished 41
st at 33 over.
Ryleigh Waltz and
Allison Leigeb shot matching 83s over the final18-holes. Waltz finished a team-best t-20
th (21-over) and Leigeb closed in a tie for 48
th at 41-over.
Macy Wright closed out NKU's team at 48-over. She finished 50
th.
Cincinnati won the team event at 34-over par, with the Bearcats' Tara Liebert sharing the individual title with Louisville's Ellen Kehoe. Both players finished 5-over for the tourney.
NKU will take a two-week break before teeing it up at the Dayton Fall Invitational at the NCR Country Club in Dayton, Ohio, October 19-20.
Norse Notes- Five Norse have played all 11 rounds so far this season, Waltz, Leigeb, Kellam, Laumann and Wright.
- Waltz leads the team with a 77.27 stroke-per-round average.
