Men’s XC takes sixth at Kentucky

Schille was top-Norse for second week in a row

LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Northern Kentucky University men's cross country team placed sixth (166 points) at the Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational on Saturday. Running an 8K course for the first time this season, Andrew Schille was the top Norse for the second week in a row taking 25th in a time of 25:20.40 (22 points).
 
Brady Holmer was next for NKU, taking 44th at 26:04.10 (33 points). John Michael Griffith (46th, 26:07.90, 35 points), Izak Velasquez (49th, 26:17.20, 37 points), Caleb Augustus (51st, 26:26.60, 39 points), Blake Meyer (54th, 26:47.50, 41 points) and Michael Mangus (55th, 26:48.50,  42 points) rounded out the Norse top seven.
 
The race featured seven teams with 75 runners on the course. Eastern Kentucky got the win with a final score of 44 points, followed by Kentucky (47 points) and Illinois (50 points).
