HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team was forced to cancel its match against Xavier at NKU Soccer Stadium on Friday night due to severe storms and lightning in the area.

No make-up date has been scheduled at this time.

The Norse (4-0-0) return to action on Friday, Sept. 11, when they travel to Illinois to take on the first Big Ten team in program history. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET. The match will serve as the final nonconference tune-up before NKU opens Horizon League play at Youngstown State on Friday, Sept. 18.
