MOREHEAD, Ky. – Klara Skopac, Sydney Power and Nicole Soutar each picked up singles victories for the Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team on Saturday as the Norse posted a 4-3 victory over Morehead State at the Sadler Tennis Courts.

Northern Kentucky started the match off with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles by scores of 6-2 and 6-1, respectively, to earn the early advantage.

In singles action, Skopac cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Ayaka Terashi at the No. 1 flight to move to 8-4 on the year.

Power followed with a 6-4, 6-0 win against Maria Orenella at No. 3 singles for her third victory in the last four matches.

Soutar then defeated MSU's Lindsey Wild, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 6 singles to put the match out of reach of the Eagles.

Soutar and Power were perfect on the day, earning victories in their singles and doubles flights.

The Norse will take some time off before returning to action with their next match set for Friday, March 18 at Dayton. First serve is at 7 p.m.
