CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team picked up its first win of the 2016 season, defeating Findlay on Saturday evening, 7-0, at Five Seasons Sports Club.
At No. 3 singles,
Court Clark dropped just a single game, as the junior defeated Nicholas Kopylec, 6-0, 6-1.
NKU claimed the doubles point with a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles and a 6-1 win at No. 2.
In singles action,
Mate Virag defeated John Kidd, 6-2, 6-3 to seal the Norse victory after Clark and
Adrian Isache cruised to victory in their matches.
Isache did not give up a game in his second set against Reid Wynkoop, as he posted a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles.
The squad returns to action at home against Tennessee State on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 4 p.m. The match will serve as the last home contest before the Norse travel for a string of eight matches on the road.
