OXFORD, Ohio- On a rain-soaked Saturday, the Northern Kentucky University men's track and field team got one last chance to compete before next week's Horizon League Outdoor Championships making the short trip to Miami (Ohio) for the RedHawk Invitational.

Andrew Schille and
J.J. Webber placed one-two in the 1,500m with Schillie getting the win in a time of 3:51.32 and Webber following at 3:52.17. In the 800m,
Tristian Tapia was the top-Norse finisher taking sixth at 1:58.75.

Moving to hurdles,
Connor Edwards took fourth in the 110m hurdles clocking a time of 16.74. In the steeplechase,
Ryan Burrows (9:59.50) and
Tyler Mowery (10:22.58) placed in order 11
th and 12
th.

In field events,
Trase Milburn took sixth in the high jump with a leap of 1.90m (6'2.75"). In the shot put,
Jess Adamson and
Danny Keller placed second and third with Adamson throwing 15.35m (50'4.5") and Keller 15.26m (50'.75"). Keller took third in the hammer throw with a mark of 50.86m (166'10") and finished the day taking second in the discus landing at 41.17m (135'1").

The Norse will wrap up the outdoor season next week at the 2016 Horizon League Outdoor Championships hosted by Valparaiso May 6-8.
