Cieply was named McDonald’s All-American in 1983 and third team NAIA All-American in 1984. He also earned All-Region honors twice for the Norse. Cieply was NKU’s top defensive player during his career, and he helped the Norse win NAIA District 32 championships in both 1982 and 1983.
