Gruenwald scored 40 goals during his career and helped NKU win the 1992 GLVC Tournament championship. He finished his career with 101 total points and scored a school-record 19 goals in 1992, a mark that stood for 16 years. Gruenwald’s 49 total points in 1992 are still a Norse single-season record. He earned GLVC co-Player of the Year honors with teammate Tom Derenthal in 1992 as the Norse captured the GLVC title.
