ROLLA, Mo. – Kim Nemcek slammed down 16 kills and hit .345 Friday night as the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team clinched its 17th consecutive 20-win season with a 25-19, 25-15, 18-25, 25-22 victory against Missouri S&T.

Nemcek also added 10 digs and four blocks for NKU, which improved to 20-10 overall, 10-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Noelle Peterson finished with 14 kills as the Norse remained tied with Missouri-St. Louis for third place in the GLVC standings.

Jenna Schreiver dished out 47 assists and collected 14 digs for NKU, which hit .199 for the match. Sarah Drennen added 13 kills for the Norse, while Gennie Galfano contributed eight kills and attacked at a .387 clip.

Chelsea Clark led the NKU defense with 17 digs, and Kylee Tarantino finished with 11 digs. The Norse held a 67-49 advantage in digs, and Missouri S&T hit .158 for the match.

NKU is now 3-0 all-time against Missouri S&T. The Lady Miners dropped to 10-26 overall, 5-8 in the GLVC.

NKU concludes the regular season Saturday with a match at Missouri-St. Louis. The winner of that contest will clinch the No. 3 seed in next week's GLVC Tournament, which will be held at Romeoville, Ill.

If NKU defeats Missouri-St. Louis, the Norse will likely meet Southern Indiana – the probable sixth seed - in the first round of the GLVC Tournament on Nov. 13.
