KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Casse Mogan poured in 22 points as the Northern Kentucky University women's basketball team posted a 67-43 victory against Rockhurst on Saturday.

Mogan drained four shots from 3-point range for NKU, which improved to 9-5 overall, 3-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Holding a 36-35 lead with 10:24 remaining, NKU used a game-ending 31-8 run to collect its first road win of the season.

Mogan started the game-ending spurt with a basket while being fouled. She converted the free throw to extend NKU's lead to 39-35. On the Norse's next possession, Jessie Carmack buried a 3-pointer to make it 42-35.

After a Rockhurst free throw, NKU used a 9-0 run to gain a 51-36 advantage on Mogan's layup with 6:23 left on the clock and cruised to the road win. Mogan, a sophomore guard from Circleville, Ohio, has scored in double figures in all 14 games this season.

Rachel Lantry added 12 points and six assists for NKU, which shot 50 percent from the field and made 57.1 percent of its 3-point attempts. The Norse held Rockhurst (5-8, 1-5 GLVC) to 30.6 percent shooting from the field and remained unbeaten (5-0) in the all-time series against the Hawks.

Brandi Rayburn scored 10 points for NKU, while teammate Whitney Levering finished with eight points and eight rebounds. Sadie Bowling grabbed a team-leading nine rebounds for the Norse, who finished with a 33-29 advantage on the boards.

NKU returns home to meet former GLVC member Southern Illinois at Edwardsville on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in The Bank of Kentucky Center. SIUE is currently making the transition to NCAA Division I status.
