In an effort to create a new level of engagement within the athletics fan base, Northern Kentucky University Athletics is pleased to announce the development of the Norse Fan Advisory Committee.
Â
The purpose of the committee is to not only engage dedicated fans, but also increase feedback from the group related to the fan experience at all NKU home men's and women's basketball games.
Â
Interested individuals can apply for consideration by completing the survey provided below, but must be at least 18 years old to join the group. Online applications will be accepted until Friday, April 13 and committee members will be announced by the end of the month. The first meeting will take place in May.

Fan Advisory Committee FAQs
Why was this created?
We recognize that the experiences our fans have at our sporting events can be improved. The Fan Advisory Committee will assist NKU Athletics with the evaluation and enhancement of the fan experience at men's and women's basketball games. We need to know where we are succeeding and where opportunities for improvement exist. We know we can enhance aspects around our athletics events and we look forward to the ideas, opinions and feedback generated through our productive conversations.
Â
Who can be on the FAC?
Almost anyone can be on the Fan Advisory Committee. We will look for anyone at least 18 years old to join the group. Our hope is to find a cross-section of our fans that ranges in age, connection to NKU, proximity to campus, etc.
Â
Do I have to be a season ticketholder to be on the FAC?
No, you do not. Unlike many fan councils at other universities, you do not need to be a current season-ticket holder to be on the Norse Fan Advisory Committee. In fact, we would prefer there be at least one or two members who are not season ticket holders so we may gain varying perspectives of mini plan holders, occasional attendees, group leaders, etc.
Â
What type of time commitment is there to this group?
We would meet quarterly on NKU's campus, beginning in May 2018.
Â
What will be the purpose of our meetings?
When we meet, we will discuss issues that arose from the previous meeting, recent items pertaining to the experience with NKU men's & women's basketball (ticket buying, parking, ushers, concessions, bathrooms, in-game promotions, communications with the public, etc.) as well as share plans the athletics department has about future initiatives. Guest speakers will include NKU Athletics administrators, BB&T Arena Staff and university administration.
Â
How long of a term will I serve on the FAC?
We are asking for a commitment of one year (May to April).
