HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Former Northern Kentucky University men's basketball director of operations Tony Rack, who recently became an assistant coach at Western Carolina University, was named a 2017-18 NABC Under Armour 30-Under-30 honoree.

"It's a tremendous honor to be mentioned with all these great coaches," said Rack. "I am extremely appreciative of being selected to this list."

"However, I am aware that being mentioned in this group is more of a reflection of the accomplishments of whom I have worked for rather than that of my own merit. I am truly fortunate and forever thankful for being able to work for such great basketball minds like Coach Pat Kelsey (Winthrop), Coach John Brannen and now Coach Mark Prosser (Western Carolina). I look forward to what the future has in store for all of them."

Rack was an integral part of head coach Brannen's staff at NKU, which posted the most successful first two years with Division I active status in NCAA history. The Norse became the first team ever to win a league regular-season title, league tourney title, earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament and participate in the NIT in their first two active seasons.

"I'd like to send a heartfelt congratulation to Tony," said Brannen. "He has been an integral part of our staff at Northern Kentucky University, helping us to become a championship caliber program.  Tony is a star in our profession and will have continued success."

A 2012 graduate of Northern Kentucky, Rack also had a prolific playing career wearing the Black & Gold. He ranks 3rd all-time in 3-point field-goal percentage (.443) and 11th in three-point field goals made (160).
