What Steven did this week: Beattie etched his name in NKU soccer lore after posting three goals this weekend to surpass Chad Scott as the all-time leading scorer in Norse history. He scored the game-winning goals in each of NKU’s victories this weekend – a 2-1 upset of No. 3 Drury and a 3-1 victory over Missouri S&T. Beattie now has 16 goals on the season and 48 career goals in 58 games. Beattie also leads the Norse with five assists this year. Scott scored 46 goals in 83 games from 1992-1995.

Interesting fact about Steven: Last year Beattie set a single-season record with 21 goals, surpassing Todd Gruenwald’s 19 goals in the 1992 season. He has maintained a one goal per game scoring pace for the last two seasons.
