What Cornett did this week: Kelsey Cornett was a bright spot for the Norse on a cold, rainy day at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational, hosted by the University of Cincinnati. She set the school record in the heptathlon with a total score of 3,676 narrowly breaking Brittany Winner's record of 3,656, which was set at the 2006 GLVC Outdoor Championships. Cornett was the highest finishing Norse competitor in the multi-event, finishing sixth. She would also break another record during the heptathlon during the 200-meter dash. She ran the 200-meter in 26.39, topping the record of 26.65 that was set by Alicia Follrod last season at the Bluegrass Classic.
