Steven Beattie each netted goals as the Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team cruised to a 3-0 win against Missouri-St. Louis on Friday night.
Beattie,
Alex Allison and
Alex Oeswein collected assists for NKU, which improved to 9-1-1 overall, 5-1-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The 11th-ranked Norse dominated the field most of the evening and finished with a 22-8 advantage in shots.
Bishop gave NKU a 1-0 lead at the 31:38 mark when he headed in a shot from seven yards out off passes from both Beattie and Allison. The Norse took that 1-0 advantage into halftime.
Meyer struck at the 48:21 mark by finishing off with a goal after a takeaway. Beattie capped the scoring in the 82nd minute by netting his GLVC-leading 12th goal of the season on a breakaway that was assisted by Oeswein.

Michael Lavric recorded the shutout and finished with two saves. Missouri-St. Louis dropped to 5-6-1 overall, 1-6 in the GLVC.
NKU returns to action Sunday at 2:30 p.m. when Southern Indiana visits the Town & Country Sports Complex. The Norse then face a crucial regional contest next Tuesday on the road at Ashland.
