After playing a scoreless first half, Carson-Newman took a 1-0 lead at the 52:38 mark when an NKU misplay resulted in an own goal. The Eagles extended their advantage to 2-0 at the 59:45 mark when Adam Thomas scored his second goal of the season off an assist from Omar Cooke.
NKU scored at the 85:23 mark when
