WILDER, Ky. –
Braden Bishop celebrated Senior Night by scoring a pair of first-half goals as the Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team rolled to a 5-0 win against Maryville (Mo.) at the Town & Country Sports Complex on Friday.
Steven Beattie added two assists and a goal for NKU, which improved to 14-3-1 overall, 11-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The 12th-ranked Norse completely dominated play and bounced back from a non-conference loss at Carson-Newman on Wednesday night.
NKU scored three goals in the first 12 minutes of play and owned a 4-0 lead at halftime.
Alex Oeswein started the onslaught at the 2:07 mark with a goal off assists from Beattie and
Seth Eckerlin. Bishop, a senior striker from Centerville, Ohio, added two markers during the next 10 minutes to give NKU a 3-0 advantage.
NKU finished with a resounding 31-4 advantage in shot attempts and cruised to the win. Maryville dropped to 1-14-1 overall, 1-10-1 in the GLVC. The Saints are in their first year of competition in the GLVC.

Keith Kelly notched his second shutout of the season and had one save.
NKU concludes the regular season Sunday at 2:30 p.m. by playing host to Missouri-St. Louis. That game will be played on the NKU campus. The Norse begin the GLVC Tournament by hosting a first-round game at the Town & Country Sports Complex on Nov. 1.
