Steven Beattie scored two goals and collected two assists to lead the Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team to a 7-1 victory against Maryville on Sunday.
Beattie did all of his scoring in the first half as NKU built a 5-1 lead and cruised to the win. The senior striker from Skerries, Ireland, netted goals in the 34th and 39th minutes for the Norse, who improved to 11-2-3 overall, 9-2-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Beattie now has 14 goals this season and is NKU's all-time career leader with 65 markers.
NKU, which is ranked No. 5 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll, finished with a whopping 25-2 advantage in shot attempts. The Norse also owned a 10-0 edge in corner kicks.

Peter Magier also netted goals for NKU. Maryville dropped to 1-13-1 overall, 1-12-1 in the GLVC.
NKU wraps up the regular season Wednesday night with a non-conference road game at Ohio Dominican. The Norse then begin play in the GLVC Tournament at 2:30 p.m. Sunday by hosting Rockhurst.
NKU is the No. 2 seed in the GLVC Tournament, while Rockhurst is the No. 7 seed. The Norse and Hawks played to a 2-all draw earlier this season at Kansas City, Mo.
