NKU men's tennis drops hard-fought 4-3 decision at Xavier on Wednesday afternoon

CINCINNATI – The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision at Xavier on Wednesday.

Guillaume Berman, Lance Koetter and Ricardo Weaver all won their singles matches for NKU, which is 4-6 overall. Berman was victorious at No. 1 singles with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 win against Chris Herrlinger. Berman is now 9-1 in singles play this spring.

Koetter took a 7-6 (7-4), 6-0 win at No. 2 singles, while Weaver posted a 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-8) victory at No. 3 singles competition.

Xavier claimed victories in two of the three doubles matches, and the Musketeers posted wins in three singles flights to pull out the match. Xavier is now 13-7 this season.

NKU returns to action Friday with a Great Lakes Valley Conference match at Bellarmine.
