CINCINNATI – The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team saw its five-match winning streak come to a screeching end with a 7-0 loss to Xavier University at the XU Tennis Courts.

NKU (8-4) could not get things rolling against the Division I Musketeers as they dropped all three doubles matches to begin the afternoon. NKU's closest chance to taking a set in doubles play was at flight No.-3 as Holly Robinson and Claire Spradlin battled hard, but came away with an 8-5 loss.

Xavier (8-13) used the momentum they gained from doubles play to carry them into singles action on Senior Day as NKU could muster no more than six game wins in any one match.

The Norse will look to get back into the win column Friday morning as they resume play in the Great Lakes Valley Conference against Bellarmine at the Yeager Tennis Complex. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m.
