HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team will head to Jacksonville, Fla., to resume conference play on Friday evening when they take on North Florida. They will then take on the Dolphins of Jacksonville on Sunday. Kickoff for Friday is scheduled for 7 p.m., and Sunday's match will begin at noon.

The Norse (3-7-1, 0-0-1 Atlantic Sun) just wrapped up a brief two-game home stand that saw them pickup a win and a draw. On Oct. 4, NKU posted a draw in their first Atlantic Sun match against the two-time defending champions of the conference, Florida Gulf Coast. Kevin Walker scored the equalizer in the second half.

On Tuesday, the Norse picked up their third win of the season by defeating IPFW, 2-0. Brendan Murphy and Michael Bartlett each collected goals, while A.J. Fleak posted his second shutout of the season.

North Florida (3-8-0, 0-2-0 Atlantic Sun) enters Friday's contest winless in their last six matches. Two of those losses have come to NSCAA/Continental Tire top 25 teams. They lost to No. 25 UC-Riverside on Sept. 14, and to No. 23 Furman on Sept. 23.The Ospreys own wins over Siena, Florida Atlantic, and Georgia Southern. Jean Rivaroli has scored two goals and added an assist in just seven matches this season for North Florida.

Jacksonville (2-9-1, 1-2-0 Atlantic Sun) enters this weekend's matches with a 1-4 record at home. They were edged on the road by ETSU on Sunday by a goal in the 89th minute. The Dolphins scored a season-high five goals in a win over Georgia Southern on Sept. 22. They are led offensively by Nick Rodriguez and Nick Saroli. Rodriguez leads the team with five goals in his 12 starts. Saroli has started just six games, but has three goals and three assists to his credit.
