NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Northern Kentucky University tennis teams are still looking for their first wins in Atlantic Sun Conference play after Lipscomb pulled out a pair of victories on Saturday night.
NKU dropped a 6-0 decision on the men's side, with the only Norse victory coming in doubles play when
Andre Correa and
Christopher Angulo claimed an 8-5 win over Lipscomb's Colby Shaw and John Tougher.
In singles play,
Pierce Kohls got a 7-6 win in his first set against David Salazar in the No. 2 flight, but Salazar rallied in the final two sets, 6-3 and 6-4, to claim victory.
On the women's side, Lipscomb was a 7-0 winner without dropping a set.
The NKU men are 3-11 while the women are 0-9. Both teams are 0-3 in A-Sun play.
The Norse are back in action this week, with the women traveling across the Ohio River to take on Cincinnati on Tuesday before NKU welcomes Mercer and Kennesaw State in for conference play this weekend.
