HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Victoria Brown went 3-for-4 at the plate and struck out seven in a shutout performance in the circle to lead the Jacksonville University softball team to a 6-0 victory over Northern Kentucky University on Sunday afternoon to close out the Atlantic Sun Conference series between the teams.

The Norse managed three hits, two of them off the bat of Dee Dee Davis, and fell to 7-28 overall and 1-14 in A-Sun play.

Back-to-back doubles by Ashley Simon and Karson Tuck put the Dolphins (30-10, 11-3 A-Sun) on the board in the fifth inning.  Brown added on in the sixth inning with an RBI double of her own before Tuck closed out the scoring with a two-run home run in the seventh.

NKU returns to action on Tuesday with a midweek doubleheader at Marshall before returning home for a three-game weekend series against East Tennessee State.
