The Norse, now 5-3 on the year, picked up early momentum as

Danielle Donahue and
Marta Romeo snapped extended losing streaks with their victories. Donahue bested Madeline Phillips at the No. 2 flight, 6-3, 6-0, to break a three-match slide, while Romeo's win over Emily Pryzstawski, 6-1, 6-3, was her first in her last five matches.
The only loss for NKU came in the third flight and WKU's Carolina Barboza defeated
Nicole Soutar in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
The Norse now turn their attention to a weekend full of road matches as they will battle conference foes, Kennesaw State on Friday and Mercer on Saturday. Their weekend will end with a non-conference match with Alabama State on Sunday.
