CINCINNATI – The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team fell to Xavier University on Wednesday, losing by a score of 6-1.
NKU's lone match win came in the No. 1 singles flight as
Maria Voscekova defeated Alex Brinker, 6-3, 6-1. Voscekova and
Danielle Donahue were also leading in the top doubles match, 7-5, when the doubles point was won by Xavier.
NKU, now 5-6 overall and 0-2 in Atlantic Sun conference play, will play two A-Sun opponents this weekend. They will take on East Tennessee State and USC Upstate on Friday and Saturday at home at the Joyce Yeager Tennis Complex.
