HARMAR, Pa. – The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team saw no friendly welcome in the Steel City, as Duquesne claimed a 7-0 victory on Saturday night to open up a two-day, two-match road swing for the Norse.

After the Norse were swept in doubles action, straight-set victories at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 flights gave the Dukes (12-4) the victory.

Jody Maginley dropped both sets of his match to Alex Aleman in tiebreakers, 7-4 in Set 1 and 7-3 in Set 2.  Jack Carney was also nearly edged in the No. 6 flight, falling to Mehdi Mekaoui by a 7-5 score in the third set.

The loss was the fifth straight for the Norse, who now stand at 4-8 on the year.  NKU will look to get back to their winning ways on Sunday morning against Robert Morris.  First serve is set for 10 a.m.
