USC Upstate baseball posts 7-6 win over NKU

It marked NKU's first back-to-back homers since April 29, 2011, when Brad Clement and Bryan Rose accomplished the feat against Wisconsin-Parkside.
 
Jordan Procyshen tied the game at 6-all in the bottom of the eighth inning by hammering a two-run homer to center. It was Procyshen's team-leading seventh homer of the season.
 
Zac Asman went 4-for-5 and has hit in seven consecutive games for NKU, while Logan Spurlin extended his hitting streak to 16 games by going 3-for-4. Spurlin has also reached based in the last 33 games in which he has appeared. Procyshen finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
 
Stephen Dowling was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for USC Upstate, which improved to 13-24 overall, 3-10 in the Atlantic Sun. NKU is 10-21 overall, 4-6 in the Atlantic Sun. The Spartans are now 3-1 all-time against the Norse.
