, Evan Korson and Caleb Lonkard followed Wright with an inning apiece to preserve the shutout and extend the Norse winning streak to four. It marked NKU's first shutout as a Division I program.

Logan Spurlin paced the offense by going 2-for-4 with a homer and three runs batted in. Spurlin also scored a pair of runs for the Norse, who built a 4-0 lead after three innings. Cody Kuzniczci was 2-for-4 and scored two runs, while Zac Asman also scored twice.

In Game 1, Cole Bauml drove in a career-high six runs as NKU cruised to a 16-8 win. The Norse jumped out to an 11-2 lead after four innings, highlighted by a five-run fourth that included Bauml's three-run homer over the wall in center.

Stetson (12-20 overall, 2-6 A-Sun) scored six times in the seventh inning to cut the NKU lead to 11-8, but the Norse countered by plating three runs - two of those courtesy of Bauml's two-run double - in the bottom of the seventh to push their advantage back to 14-8.

NKU added two more runs in the eighth inning to account for the final margin.

Kyle Colletta was 4-for-6 and scored twice as NKU pounded out 20 hits. The 20 hits equaled the Norse's single-game record as a Division I program, tying the mark NKU established earlier this spring during a win at Eastern Kentucky. Colletta's four hits were also a career best.

Dominic Faron went 3-for-5 with a homer and three runs scored, while Spurlin also scored three times. Brad Bohlen finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Cody Cooper picked up the win by going 6 2/3 innings with four strikeouts.

The eight-run margins of victory in both games are the largest NKU has enjoyed since beginning Division I play in 2013. The current four-game winning streak is NKU's longest as a Division I program.

The Norse are now 2-3 all-time against the Hatters, who swept a three-game series against NKU last season in DeLand, Fla.

NKU and Stetson conclude the three-game series Sunday at noon.
