Maria Voscekova ran her singles winning streak to four matches as the Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 result to Stetson on Saturday afternoon at the Joyce Yeager Tennis Complex.
Voscekova defeated Diana Bukajeva, 7-5, 7-5, to run her singles record to 16-7 on the year. It was the only point the Norse took on the afternoon, as NKU fell to 5-12 overall and 0-6 in A-Sun play.
Nicole Soutar battled in her match against MaryBeth Stauffer-MacDowell, falling in the third set by a 6-3 score.
Danielle Donahue also had a tough singles match, taking Andrea Crespo to a tiebreak in each set before falling in the No. 2 flight.
Stetson improved to 13-4 overall, 3-3 in A-Sun play, with the victory.
NKU closes out a weekend of three matches in three days on Sunday afternoon, hosting Chicago State in non-conference action. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m.
