HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team wrapped up a busy weekend with a 5-2 loss to Chicago State in non-conference play on Sunday.
 
Maria Voscekova continued her winning ways, claiming her fifth-consecutive singles win in defeating Carynne Lloyd, 6-0, 6-0. It was the first time this season that Voscekova has won without dropping a game, improving her singles record to 17-7 in the process.
 
In the No. 6 flight, Sierra Nellessen defeated Sabrine Navarro, 6-2, 6-3, to snap a four-match losing streak and improve to 10-11 on the year.  Nellessen also teamed with Marta Romeo for the first time this season and picked up a doubles win over Hanna Pangetsu and Marnie Perez-Ochoa, 8-7.
 
It was the 10th-straight loss for the Norse, who fell to 5-13 on the year. The Norse will take a couple of days off before getting back to Atlantic Sun Conference action on Wednesday against Lipscomb. First serve from the Joyce Yeager Tennis Complex is set for 11 a.m.
