FGCU answered by scoring six runs in the fifth inning to take a 13-7 lead. The Eagles added two runs in the seventh, five in the eighth and two in the ninth to pull away and secure the three-game weekend sweep.
 
For the second straight day, FGCU collected 21 hits. Jake Noll was 5-for-7 with three runs scored, while Hoffner went 3-for-6 with seven RBIs and three runs scored. The Eagles improved to 32-17 overall, 15-6 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
 
Bauml led the NKU offense by going 3-for-5 with seven RBIs. David Head was 2-for-4 and scored four runs, while Kyle Colletta went 2-for-3 and scored three times. Josh Myers finished 3-for-5 as NKU collected 14 hits.
 
The Norse are 13-31 overall, 6-15 in the Atlantic Sun.
 
NKU plays host to Butler at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
