HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.- The Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team (6-4-3) will step out of Horizon League play for a nonconference match at Eastern Illinois (2-9-0) on Wednesday. Links to live stats are available through NKUNorse.com.

About the Panthers
This will be the third meeting all-time between Northern Kentucky and Eastern Illinois with the Norse leading the series 2-0. The Panthers have two wins coming into the match defeating Lipscomb (8/30) and Robert Morris (9/6). Their nine losses have come against Xavier(8/28), Pittsburgh (9/4), Wright State (9/12), Kentucky (9/22), Oral Roberts (9/26), Northern Illinois (9/29), Missouri State (10/6), IPFW (10/10) and Western Illinois (10/17). Tyler Oliver leads Eastern Illinois offensively with nine points on four goals and one assist. Mike Novotny has logged the most minutes in goal for the Panthers with a record of 2-7 and a goals-against average of 3.39 with 48 saves.
 
On the road again
The Norse sport a road record of 4-2-1 so far in 2015. Additionally, the Norse are 3-3-0 in nonconference play.
 
Clean sheets keep coming
Senior NKU goalkeeper A.J. Fleak earned his fifth shutout of the season against Valparaiso on Saturday. Fleak now has 15 for his career as a Norse, moving him to third all-time in program history. Fleak and fellow goalkeeper Toby Frohlich have combined for a team total of six shutouts this season.
 
Inside the Horizon League
As of Oct. 20, Northern Kentucky sits atop the Horizon League standings with 12 points, followed by UIC (11 points) and Wright State (10 points). In the individual conference categories, senior NKU goalkeeper A.J. Fleak ranks first in save percentage (.877), saves (64), saves per game (5.82).
 
Last time out
Northern Kentucky battled League foe Valparaiso to a 0-0 (2OT) draw on Saturday. The Norse took 14 shots with three on goal, while senior goalkeeper A.J. Fleak notched seven saves on 18 shots faced.
 
Up Next for the Norse
The Norse return to League play at home against Green Bay on Saturday, Oct. 24, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. The match has been tabbed Senior Day with a ceremony to honors this year's departing seniors.
