HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – With three minutes left in regulation, Bowling Green's Alexis Souahy netted the game-winner to lead the Falcons to a 2-1 win over the Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team. NKU's lone goal came from
Campbell Morris on an assist from
Kobie Qualah in the first half.
"We were competitive in the first half, we went out there and won a lot of 50/50 balls and had some conviction, which is what got us in the game," said head coach
John Basalyga. "In the second half, to their credit, they came back and put us under pressure and the two goals we gave up were just lack of mentality."
With the result, NKU dips to 0-10-2 overall while BGSU improves to 7-3-1.
